New year, new possibilities

2010 was not a good year glasswise for me, with some exeptions;

1. I had two glass classes at http://www.glasforum.no/ with Karl Herron and Catharine Newell. I haven't done much glass after the class, but I made these (not good photos).

I also went to New York, had a great time and visited a good friend http://www.kremerglass.com/. His studio is amazing and he is pretty amazing too.

In 2011 I should probobly not be taking any classes, just work, but I have just been browsing the new course catalog at http://www.glassforum.no/ and this cought my eye; http://www.mamut.net/glassforum/KURS%20417%20GRAFISK%20DESIGN.PDF

I just heard there are several flights cancelled from Ireland and Great Brittain due to the vulcanic eruptions in Iceland, and I hope it doesn't interfere with my class - yes I am selfish, I know.

Glass classes in Norway

I know I said I should take fewer classes and work more instead, but the Glassforum schedule for 2010 is out and I am tempted, so very very tempted. How can I resist a Catharine Newell class? I saw some of his work in person in some galleries in Dublin, and they are really really good, see for yourself; http://theglasstudioireland.com/.

SOFA Chicago

In November 2009 I went to a major exibit called SOFA in Chicago and met a lot of glassfriends. It was great, just great:o) I also visited some great glassfriends in Las Vegas and New York. I had so much fun in Chicago, mostly because meeting friends are always fun, but also since Chicago is a very nice city and it's lots and lots to do if you are interested in the arts and shopping like me.
